I would like to start my diary positively, hoping that soon we will all meet and hug our most precious loved ones.
I live in Starobilsk, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine! I have lived here all my life. I’m 63 years old now, and I still live in my city, but with completely different people, and under new rules and laws.
I have known about war since childhood, my grandpa told me about it, but nothing that I have heard about could compare to the cruelty that’s happening right now. Maybe I did not know because he chose not to tell a child about such things.
Most of my friends, real friends, have moved to territories that are controlled by Ukraine or to other countries. I have stayed here because I’m afraid of leaving my home. It’s just too easy for them (Russians – translator) to break into my place and turn everything upside down. And then I would not have a home anymore.
How could I leave it?
